Advanced Machine and Tool Corp
(AMT) ,located in Fort Wayne Indiana, has been producing electric
motor winding equipment for 40+ years. AMT has been a supplier
of equipment for the motor manufacturing companies in the U.S.,
Mexico, South America, Asia, and Europe.
AMT opened a facility, SouthWest
AMT Inc., in McAllen Texas in February 1994 to rebuild and service
equipment in the Southern United States and Mexico.
SouthWest AMT started with an
empty 6,000 sq. ft. suite and 3 employees. Because of increasing
sales and business, SouthWest AMT leased an additional 6,000
sq. ft. suite in the same building in 1996.
As sales and business increased,
Fred Burke, AMT CEO, in 1999 decided it was time to build a new
facility for SouthWest AMT. SouthWest AMT moved into a new 20,000
sq. ft. facility in July, 2000 located in the Sharyland Business
Park, in McAllen Texas.
There is additional room to add on an 18,000 sq. ft. expansion
when necessary.
